# Events according to HCMI - 2024 updates

We’re expanding our methodology support for train emissions. From now on, energy scope differentiation is available for train calculations based on the **CO2 Emissiefactoren** framework.

## What's New?

### 🔄 Added Scope Support

For all train emission calculations using the CO2 Emissiefactoren methodology, you can now choose between:

* **TTW (Tank-to-Wheel):** Emissions from vehicle operation only.
* **WTW (Well-to-Wheel):** Full life-cycle emissions, including energy production, transmission, and final use.

This enhancement allows for:

* More accurate reporting aligned with customer expectations and regulatory demands.
* Greater control in distinguishing between operational vs upstream emissions in carbon reporting.

Refer to the API documentation for implementation details on how to select energy scope when using CO2 Emissiefactoren for train-related calculations.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs-integration.squake.earth/notable-changes/calculation-changes/co2-emissiefactoren-energy-scope.md?ask=<question>
```

The question should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
